Matthew Ritchie, SPCS graduate student, to present at annual Va. HR conference

March 26, 2021

Matthew Ritchie, GC’21, an SPCS graduate student completing the Master of HR Management degree this year, is scheduled to present at the HR Virginia 2021 Annual Conference.

Ritchie’s presentation, “Leveraging Veterans and Reservists in the Workplace,” features an explanation of real, practical ways in which employers of all sizes can leverage the talents of US military veterans (those no longer serving) and reservists (those currently serving part-time). The session will help attendees understand compliance with USERRA, learn how to leverage hidden talents of veterans and reservists and how to recruit them for your workplace.

The presentation is scheduled for April 13 at 11 a.m.

Ritchie is a program manager for the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). He served as president of the SHRM student chapter during the 2019-20 academic year.
