June 12, 2017

Austin Brockenbrough Austin Brockenbrough III, a former rector of the Board of Trustees at the University of Richmond, was inducted into the Robins School Alumni Hall of Fame during the school’s recent reunion weekend.

The Robins School of Business Alumni Hall of Fame annually recognizes an alumnus or alumna of the University of Richmond who graduated 10 or more years previously and has made significant accomplishments in business and service.

Brockenbrough is a founding partner of Richmond-based Lowe, Brockenbrough & Company. He serves as the firm’s managing director and chairman of the board. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. He has more than 50 years of investment experience.

“Austin Brockenbrough is a true servant leader and is exactly the role model in business we seek for our students,” said Nancy Bagranoff, dean of the Robins School. “He is a great business man who has given so much to the Richmond Community and our university.”

He is the second person to be named to the Hall of Fame. Last year E. Claiborne Robins was the inaugural recipient in the Robins School of Business Alumni Hall of Fame. Robins’ donation of $50 million in 1969 to the university remains among the 20 largest gifts to any university, and the Robins Foundation continues to generously support the university.
