Visit University of Richmond during Private College Week, July 24-28

June 30, 2017

University of Richmond will welcome prospective students and their families to campus during the last week of July for Virginia Private College Week.

Virginia Private College Week is an annual event sponsored by the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia. Students who visit at least three of the more than 20 participating institutions during the week will receive fee waivers to apply to any three participating CICV colleges for free, regardless of whether they visited that campus or not.

Participating colleges hold daily programs on admissions, financial aid, academics and campus life for rising juniors, seniors and prospective transfer students. At University of Richmond, these programs will be July 24 through Friday at 9:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m., followed by student-guided campus tours. Online registration is recommended. Check in will take place at the Queally Center for Admission and Career Services.

“We hear from students all the time who say they thought they wanted to go to a certain college until they visited the campus, or the opposite, they had never considered a college, but when they visited it felt right,” said Nate Crozier, University of Richmond director of admission. “Both of these discoveries are important ones, and the types of things Virginia Private College Week allows you to learn.”
