University of Richmond named a 2018 'Best College Value' by Kiplinger's Personal Finance

December 22, 2017

The University of Richmond has again been named to "Kiplinger's Personal Finance's" list of the 300 Best College Values for 2018.

Introduced in 1998, the rankings now combine public schools, private universities and private liberal arts colleges into a single, comprehensive list. Kiplinger also ranks the 100 best values in each category. The analysis is based on objective measurements of academic quality and affordability, not subjective criteria.

Richmond earned the #18 spot on the magazine’s list of 100 best values in private liberal arts colleges.

Richmond is need-blind in admission and meets 100 percent of demonstrated need. The university has awarded $73 million in institutional grants and scholarships to 65 percent of its students. The average need-based award is $47,970.

The rankings are available online at kiplinger.com/links/colleges and will appear in print in the February 2018 issue of "Kiplinger's Personal Finance," on newsstands Jan. 9.
