Mutual fund and beauty company CEOs join former U.S. Secretary of Education in lineup for 2018 Robins Executive Speaker Series

Speaker Series LogoThe University of Richmond Robins School of Business’ Executive Speaker Series invites national and international business leaders to give keynote speeches on campus.

The Fall 2018 program speakers include:                                                       

Sept. 26, Andrew Surwilo, founder and CEO, Atlantic Coast Brands
Surwilo co-founded Atlantic Coast Brands in 2005 after serving nine years in the U.S. Army. The company is known for major beauty products like Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare, Keranique, and Hydroxatone. Surwilo is a 1992 business school alumnus.

Oct. 2, John Rogers, CEO, Ariel Investments, and Arne Duncan, former U.S. Secretary of Education, current managing partner of Emerson Collective
Rogers founded Ariel Investments, a mutual fund investment firm, in 1983 to employ a patient, value strategy in small and medium-size companies. Duncan was Secretary of Education from 2009 through December 2015.

Nov. 29, Word on Wall Street
A panel of financial management experts, moderated by Paul Queally, a 1986 alumnus, will speak about the state of the U.S. financial climate and their experience in this realm.

All lectures take place at 6 p.m. in the Robins School of Business, Queally Hall, Ukrop Auditorium. Events are free and open to the public, but registration is required. This series is funded in part by a grant given by the Manville Foundation for Private Enterprise.

Speakers will be available for questions immediately after the lecture and a reception will follow.

Speakers also participate in roundtable discussions with students during their visit to campus.
