Celebrating a year filled with academic successes and outstanding programs
December 17, 2009
As another year draws to a close we reflect on our good fortune at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. Wonderful students continue to flock to the School. This fall 73 students joined Jepson at Prelude in November when presidential and leadership scholar James MacGregor Burns returned to the School for a conversation with our own Al Goethals.
Our faculty members continue to publish at a prolific rate, publishing four new books this semester.
The fall was packed with terrific programs, from a book talk featuring Col. Leo K. Thorsness and Dr. E. Bruce Heilman to Philippa Malmgren, an economic adviser to George W. Bush, sharing the global perspective on the financial crisis. Other outstanding events included the Mid-Atlantic Ethics Bowl hosted by Jepson and the Jepson Leadership Forum programs on the Common Good.
As we count these blessings and look forward to the new year and new semester, the faculty, students and staff at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies join me in wishing you a safe and happy holiday season.
