John Butt, academic and career counselor, to present at global conference on career development

John E. Butt, Academic and Career Advisor in the School of Professional & Continuing Studies, will head a roundtable discussion titled “Career Services and the Non-Traditional Student” at the National Career Development Association (NCDA) Global Career Development Conference.

The conference, themed “Building on the Dream,” will be held June 21-23, 2012, in Atlanta, Ga.

Butt’s roundtable session will highlight best practices by providing examples of career advising, social media efforts and programming for non-traditional students.

Butt works as an academic and career advisor for students enrolled in the School’s Weekend College Bachelor of Liberal Arts program and Paralegal Studies program.
