International Film: Una Noche

Una Noche, a 2012 film from Cuba will be featured in the International Film Series on September 19 and 21.  Convinced that dilapidated Havana holds no future for them, desperate teens Raul and Elio plot their escape to the dreamland of Miami, only 90 miles away from their families’ lives of poverty, illness, and prostitution. For Elio, leaving Cuba means leaving his twin sister, Lila, the only person who has remained loyal to him. In the colorful, steamy city, pressure mounts as they attempt to disentangle themselves from trouble, family, and Havana
