Kenneth Patchen: Writing with Brush Exhibit

June 8, 2015
Stop by the silent study area on the second floor of Boatwright Library and view the Kenneth Patchen: Writing With Brush exhibit. Kenneth Patchen, 1911-1972, was a self-taught writer who liked to experiment with different media to express his ideas on social ills, war, and life.  He read his poems accompanied by Jazz musicians, and painted his poems and then silk screened them. While he was never widely acclaimed, he maintains a steady following.
