Run down, decaying, with stirrings of vibrancy. These are the general impressions of Cuba on the eve of its reintegration with the U.S. society and economy.
The Havana harbor and airport face logistical trials with an influx of new tourists. While cruise ships are showing up, and commercial flights will start in October, the Cuba of today seems as ill-prepared for this invasion as it was well-prepared for the Bay of Pigs in 1961.
