Moving Interfaces and Free Boundaries: Establishing rigorous results on unknown domains
Wednesday, November 8
12 noon – 12:45
Dr. Jeremy LeCrone, Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Boatwright Library, 2nd Floor
Dr. Lecrone will talk about moving interfaces and free boundaries, which are ubiquitous in many areas of mathematics and applied science. Dr. LeCrone will introduce some basic examples of each type of problem and discuss methods employed by mathematicians to formulate rigorous results when the setting for the problem is either changing or a priori unknown.
