IIE ranks University of Richmond No. 7 among baccalaureate institutions for total number of international students

The Institute of International Education (IIE) ranks University of Richmond No. 7 for total number of international students on its 2011-12 list of the top 40 baccalaureate institutions.

Richmond ranked No. 9 in IIE’s 2010-11 survey.

During the past five years, the total number of international students enrolled at Richmond has grown 40 percent. The continued growth in international students at Richmond reflects the university's commitment to internationalization and providing an environment of diverse experience, belief and thought for all students.

The total international student population at Richmond is 360 and represents 70 countries – a 12 percent increase over fall 2011, when 321 international students were enrolled.

The largest numbers of international students at Richmond come from China (88), Spain (20), India (14), United Kingdom (14), The Bahamas (13) and Italy (13). The most popular major of international students at Richmond is business administration.
