CNN to broadcast live from Richmond campus following President Obama's State of the Union Address Feb. 12

CNN’s coverage of President Barack Obama’s 2013 State of the Union Address Feb. 12 will include live coverage from the University of Richmond campus.

Approximately 35 Richmond area residents recruited by CNN will be on campus to watch the speech and electronically record their opinions of what the president is saying. Following the address, a CNN anchor will interview the participants during live cut-ins of CNN’s coverage. They will be able to discuss what things they liked and did not like about the speech.

CNN will begin its coverage at 7 p.m. ET. The speech begins at 9 p.m. Viewers also can watch on cnn.com or on the network’s various apps. The president is expected to emphasize the economy, job creation, clean energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and education in the address.
