Students to host 5k charity run March 23 to benefit suicide awareness program

March 8, 2013

University of Richmond students will host the Emotions in Motion 5k on March 23 to raise awareness about mental illness and raise funds for Suicide Awareness Voices of Education.

The run will start at the Robins Center at 11:15 a.m. and follow a route through the university’s campus, frequently named as one of the country’s most beautiful by several college guidebooks for its architecture and landscape.

Registration fees are $20 for the general public and $10 for students or persons under 12 years old. On-site registration will begin at 10 a.m. Online registration and donations in support of the cause can be made at save.donordrive.com/event/universityofRichmond.

Prizes will be given for both the first place finisher and the largest team. Raffle tickets for a variety of other prizes will be sold for $1. Participants who raise $50 or more by March 18 will receive a T-shirt.
