Osher Lifelong Learning Institute names Peggy Watson as director

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Richmond has named Henrico County resident Margaret (Peggy) Watson as director. 

Watson is a 1976 alumna of the University of Richmond, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in history. Watson also holds a master of science degree in mass communications from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Watson previously served 24 years as coordinator for the CTE Resource Center where she managed the development of curriculum materials and offered training on instructional resources to secondary teachers across the state through a Virginia Department of Education grant.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a membership-based program of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, offering undergraduate credit courses for audit, special interest mini-courses, free lectures, community service projects, performing arts events and more to people over age 50. The program was established in 2004 through an endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation of San Francisco and currently serves more than 600 members.
