University of Richmond featured in The Princeton Review book, 'The Best 380 Colleges' 2016 edition, makes several Top 20 lists
University of Richmond is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features the school in the new 2016 edition of its annual college guide.
The Princeton Review does not rank colleges academically or from 1 to 380 in any category. Instead it surveyed 136,000 students attending the colleges and created 62 ranking lists of top 20 colleges in various categories.
UR is on the following ranking lists in “The Best 380 Colleges”:
#12 Best Athletic Facilities
#8 Best Career Services
# 10 Best Science Lab Facilities
#19 Great Financial Aid
The Princeton Review wrote, “The standardized test scores and grades of incoming students at Richmond are tremendous and most undergraduates here finished in the top quarter of their high school classes. Note also the pile of financial aid that’s available here to students with exceptional credentials.”

Students gave high marks to faculty members whom they described as “brilliant,” “Insightful” and “extremely accessible.” One student said, “We’re a school where professors know all of their students’ names and where the president of the university stops and talks to you on the way to your next class.”
Richmond has been selected by The Princeton Review every year the book has been published. The university consistently ranks as a top-tier liberal arts university and a “best value” by U.S. News & World Report, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Smart Money magazine, Forbes.com and other leading college guides.
