Senator Jennifer McClellan to discuss intersection of policy and technology at University of Richmond March 29

Virginia Sen. Jennifer McClellan will discuss how policy changes adapt with developing technologies at an event at the University of Richmond March 29 at 7 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be held in the Queally Center for Admission and Career Services Pavilion.

McClellan, a University of Richmond alum, was elected to the Senate of Virginia in 2017 and serves on the transportation; local government; and agriculture, conservation and natural resources committees. She also serves on several other caucuses and boards that focus on minority groups, women and health care. McClellan was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 2005, where she served for 11 years.

This event is part of the annual Sharp Viewpoint Series, which aims to present different perspectives on a topic crucial to our nation and global society. The chosen topic for this year is “Envisioning the Future.”

The Sharp Viewpoint Series was created in 2011 in honor of Richard L. Sharp, a nationally recognized entrepreneur and philanthropist.
