University of Richmond Launches Election 2020 Programming

October 9, 2020

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND — “We The People,” a series of election-related programming at the University of Richmond, is taking place leading up to Election Day.

Coordinated by UR’s Bonner Center for Civic Engagement, “We The People” programming aims to address the need for access to information about politics and voting and hosts opportunities for the University of Richmond community to engage with one another to champion a healthy democracy.

“Whether students need access to information about politics and voting, or faculty and staff want to design engagement opportunities, or student organizations want to promote opportunities on campus, ‘We the People’ provides a platform where voices can be heard,” said CCE Executive Director Sylvia Gale.

Programming is virtual and includes debate watch parties and lunchtime discussions on a variety of topics, such as how to create a voting plan and what it means to be politically engaged.
