Eric Yellin gives lecture at the Library of Congress

Dr. Eric Yellin, Assistant Professor of History and American Studies, was awarded a 2010-2011 Kluge Fellowship for intensive research in the collections of the John W. Kluge Center of the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.  The award supported his research project, “In the Nation's Service: Race, Government Work and the Making of the Progressive State.”  His resulting book will be published by the University of North Carolina Press.

A requirement of the Fellowship is a public lecture on the project, which was presented at the Library of Congress in December 2011.
