Paralegal Studies program students, alumna receive scholarships from the Richmond Paralegal Association

Gregory Mays and Romaine Cheney, paralegal studies program students, and Darlene Yeary, C‘11, paralegal studies program alumna, received scholarships from the Richmond Paralegal Association (RPA) during its annual meeting.

Mays and Cheney each received the 2012 Jean H. Proffitt/Susan Brewer Scholarship. The scholarship provides $1,000 in addition to an annual RPA Student membership.

Yeary received the Janet Scott Scholarship, a $250 award to be applied to toward the Certified Paralegal examination fee.

The RPA Annual Dinner Meeting was held November 6, 2012, in the Jepson Alumni Center. The School of Professional and Continuing Studies served among the dinner’s program sponsors.
