No, it's not from Abilene, Texas, and, no, it's not from Abilene, Kan.
Keith Jones' Abilene Motor Express is a made-in-Virginia company, named after a tiny community in Charlotte County, where Jones came from.
Keith and his brother Kolen founded the Chesterfield County-based firm, buying and selling used equipment, in 1986, and "Abilene" seemed like a better name than "Jones," Keith Jones said.
