Voting has been extending through April 1.

Degree-seeking students in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies will vote through April 1 to select annual recipients of the Jean H. Proffitt Student Service Award and the Itzkowitz Family Distinguished Faculty Award.

Award recipients will be announced during the School’s Fiftieth Anniversary SPCS Night celebration on May 8, 2013.

The Jean H. Proffitt Student Service Award is named to honor long-time University College and School of Continuing Studies staff member Jean Proffitt. Established in 1996 by the School of Continuing Studies and the Student Government Association, this award is presented to a graduating senior recognized by his/her peers for outstanding service to the University community and/or the community at large.

The Itzkowitz Family Distinguished Alumni Award is endowed by the Itzkowitz family to honor alumnus Fred Itzkowitz, C‘75 and GB‘76. The award is presented to a member of the SPCS adjunct faculty who has most challenged students to be a better thinker, organizer, student, and/or person.
