Richmond education graduates named local first-year teachers of the year

Three Education department Teacher Licensure Preparation (TLP) program graduates have been named first-year teachers of the year at local Henrico County schools.

• Jessie Allen, GC’15, has been named the First-Year Teacher of the Year for Holladay Elementary School.
• Colleen Cassada, GC’14, has been named the First-Year Teacher of the Year for Moody Middle School.
• Sara Coleman, GC’14, has been named First-Year Teacher of the Year for Ridge Elementary School.
• Phillip Patrick, GC’14, has been named First-Year Teacher of the Year for Deep Run High School.

Each awardee will now be considered for the division-wide Henrico County Public Schools First-Year Teacher of the Year.
