Gordon S. Wood presented "Friends Divided: John Adams and Thomas Jefferson" on Oct. 25, as part of the 2017–18 Marshall Center Lecture Series.  Before his presentation, he spoke with the Richmond Times-Dispatch about his latest book, which explores the friendship between the two founding fathers.
