Expansion of Richmond International Airport's Concourse A should begin later this year (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

Richmond International Airport is about to get bigger.

The estimated $35 million expansion of the airport’s Concourse A — used to board and disembark for American Airlines and JetBlue Airways flights — should be underway in late summer or early fall.

The airport expects to receive bids from construction companies within the next three weeks, at which point one will be selected to complete the work. A legal advertisement about seeking bids on the project ran last month in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
