Dana Lascu receives Fulbright Specialist grant to work with faculty, staff and students in Mongolia

Dana Lascu, professor of marketing at University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business, has received a Fulbright Specialist grant to work with faculty and staff of Ider University in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

She will organize seminars and partner with National University of Mongolia and the Mongolian Marketing Association to organize an international conference. She also will assist Mongolian faculty, students and marketing managers in the development of marketing strategies and analytical skills.

The Fulbright Program, founded in 1946 and managed by the U.S. State Department, sends students, faculty and professionals abroad to promote the exchange of knowledge. The Specialist Program encourages international collaborative projects and awards short-term grants lasting up to six weeks.

Lascu has taught at Richmond since 1991 and won the university’s Distinguished Educator Award in 1995. In 2006, she received a Fulbright Distinguished Chair in International Business in Austria, and the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia named her a winner of its annual Outstanding Faculty Award in 1996.
