Office of Alumni and Career Services hires associate, assistant directors

University of Richmond’s Office of Alumni and Career Services has hired Sandy Turnage as associate director for employer relationship management, Ashleigh Brock as assistant director for advising undergraduate students, and Tonya Osmond as assistant director for advising alumni and degree-seeking students in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies (SPCS).

Turnage, of Williamsburg, Va., will work with employers on recruitment and career education, administer on-campus recruiting policies and increase effectiveness of recruiting programs. She previously was associate director of professional development at The College of William & Mary’s Mason School of Business. She received a B.A. in psychology and M.S. in counseling psychology from Radford University and is a doctoral candidate in educational policy, planning and leadership at William & Mary.

Osmond, of Midlothian, Va., will provide career advising to degree-seeking SPCS students and Richmond alumni. She previously was assistant director, career and employment counseling, at Howard Community College. She received a B.A. in English and M.A. in education and counseling from Virginia Tech.

Brock, of Richmond, will focus on the communications and consulting industries. She previously served as an assistant director at William & Mary’s Career Center. She received a B.A. in rhetoric and communication studies and journalism from Richmond and an M.A. in student affairs administration from Michigan State University.
