An executive of Procter & Gamble and a cartoonist with The New Yorker will be keynote speakers as part of the centennial celebration of Westhampton College and its continued focus on developing women as scholars and leaders.

The Women and Leadership Conference, which will be held Friday, Oct. 17, features Melanie Liddle Healey and Liza Donnelly.

Healey, group president-North America for Procter & Gamble, is consistently ranked by Fortune magazine as one of the most powerful women in business. She is a former University trustee, and University of Richmond Alumni Association board member.

She will speak at lunch on “Choose to Live a Life That Matters” in the Jepson Alumni Center, Robins Pavilion.

Donnelly, a cartoonist with The New Yorker magazine, travels around the world speaking about freedom of speech, cartoons and women’s rights. The public is invited to Donnelly’s talk, “Drawing Upon Humor for Change” at 6 p.m. in the Alice Jepson Theatre of the Modlin Center for the Arts. There is no charge for the talk.
