University of Richmond adds 14 members to Career Services Advisory Council; CSAC advises university on career best practices

The University of Richmond’s Office of Alumni and Career Services has named 14 new members to serve on its 20-member Career Services Advisory Council.

CSAC advises the university about career-related best practices for serving students and alumni. Its work will focus on supporting OACS’ goals of enhancing the comprehensive approach to career development and to further build and deepen partnerships with employer organizations. For example, the council will support the new Spider Shadowing program. This program gives students a unique, observational experience that allows them to spend a “day in the life” with industry professionals.

Mark Hickman of Richmond, Va., a 2007 University of Richmond graduate, will serve as the council’s chair. Hickman is the program manager of Government & Community Affairs for the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce.
