Dave Alpern, president of Joe Gibbs Racing, to be Robins School of Business C-Suite Conversation guest March 22
The president of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), Dave Alpern, will participate in a C-Suite Conversation March 22, at 8 a.m., at the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business. The event will be held in Queally Hall, Ukrop Auditorium. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
Alpern began his career with JGR in 1993 as a project intern and has seen the team grow from 18 employees to nearly 600. He was recently promoted from chief marketing officer to president. As chief marketing officer, Alpern oversaw all aspects of the team’s front office, including sponsorships, driver management, marketing activation, consumer products, branding and social media. He is one of the longest tenured marketing executives in the sport, and has worked with executives at many of the countries largest companies, including Toyota, FedEx and Coca Cola.
C-Suite Conversations are unscripted interviews with regional business decision makers and leaders. The series highlights challenges and opportunities of high-level executives and provides insight about how they balance leadership obligations with the needs of stakeholders. Richard Coughlan, professor of management at the University of Richmond, will interview Alpern.
