The University of Richmond was ranked #61 out of 1,000 colleges across the nation in The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings.

The rankings emphasize how well a college will prepare students for life after graduation. The overall ranking is based on 15 factors across four categories:

  • 40 percent of each school’s overall score comes from student outcomes, including a measure of graduate salaries,
  • 30 percent from the school’s academic resources,
  • 20 percent from how well it engages its students and
  • 10 percent from the diversity of its students and staff.

University of Richmond survey results, which were on a scale of zero to 10, with 10 representing strongest agreement included:

The University of Richmond also is ranked as the #1 Best-Run College and named as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. It consistently ranks as a top-tier liberal arts university by U.S. News & World Report, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Smart Money magazine, and other leading college guides.
