New virtual tour to increase campus access for incoming UR students

The University of Richmond is now offering a narrated virtual campus tour through the company YouVisit. This new initiative is in place to offer both domestic and international prospective students a different way to tour the campus.

“Visiting a college campus is an important step in the college search process,” said Rebecca Buffington, senior associate director of admission. “We welcome students to the University of Richmond from all over the country and the globe, and we know it’s not always possible for families to visit campus in person. This new virtual tour will allow prospective students to visit our campus from wherever they are until they can physically come to experience our beautiful campus.”

The interactive tour allows users to fully engage with campus. While navigating the tour, visitors can hover over a particular building or tour stop to see additional information and photos. The tour mimics UR’s physical tour, highlighting key academic buildings, programs, and hubs of student activity. The virtual tour also enables students to customize and further explore the campus based on their interests.
