University of Richmond Hosts Watch Party for Spiders NCAA Game

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND — The University of Richmond is hosting a watch party for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to cheer for the Spiders as they take on the Iowa Hawkeyes at 3:10 p.m. Thursday in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
The watch party will be held in the Robins Center. The doors open at 2:30 p.m.
The 12th-seeded Spiders will clash with 5-seed Iowa in the opening round of the tournament. The Spiders secured a berth in the tourney after defeating Davidson College in the Atlantic 10 Conference championship game. Richmond defeated Rhode Island, VCU, and Dayton prior to the championship game this past Sunday.
This will be the 10th NCAA Tournament appearance for the Spiders in program history.
