UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND — The University of Richmond has been named to The Princeton Review’s list of Best Value Colleges for 2022. The University also held onto its rank as #2 among private schools on the “Best Schools for Internships” list.

The “Best Value Colleges” ranking annually names undergraduate institutions the education services company recommends as offering the best return on investment. The ranking is determined by a combination of academics, costs, financial aid, debt, graduation rates, and alumni career and salary data. The Princeton Review chose 209 schools for its 2022 list based on a survey of more than 650 institutions during the 2020-21 school year.

Richmond is one of a few institutions that combine need-blind admission with a guarantee to meet 100% of demonstrated need. Additionally, all first-year applicants are considered for merit-based aid, including full-tuition scholarships and a variety of interest-based programs.

From connecting students with alumni to reviewing resumes, UR’s Career Services offers numerous resources related to internships. Every undergraduate student is eligible to receive a fellowship of up to $5,000 for a summer internship or faculty-mentored research project through The Richmond Guarantee, a hallmark UR program.

"The schools we chose as our Best Value Colleges for 2022 are a select group: they comprise only about 7% of the nation’s four-year undergraduate institutions,” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review. “We commend their administrators, faculties, staff, and alumni for all they are doing to educate their students and guide them to success in their careers.”
