University of Richmond Partners With National Career Leadership Group to Collect Alumni Outcome Data

August 2, 2022

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND — The University of Richmond’s Alumni & Career Services and Institutional Effectiveness teams are partnering with The Career Leadership Collective on its National Alumni Career Mobility Survey.

“The rich career outcome data collected by this survey will not only help us raise the profile for Spiders but will enable career advisors and faculty to guide students and graduates in their career development pathfinding even more effectively,” said Denise Dwight Smith, assistant vice president for alumni and career services.

This survey provides career outcome data for U.S. colleges and universities on alumni career mobility at the 5- and 10-year mark. The survey will be open from Aug. 15 through Nov. 15, seeking career satisfaction and insights from college and university alumni who completed their degree in calendar years 2012 and 2017.

“Our accomplished Spider graduates have secured jobs at highly coveted companies and organizations around the world, including Google, Paramount Pictures, Goldman Sachs, NIH, Boston Children’s Hospital, NSA, PwC, and more, and we’re eager to learn more about their careers,” said Dwight Smith.

The Princeton Review has applauded Richmond’s career services in ranking UR #6 for career services in 2021, and #2 for best schools for internships in 2021 and 2022.

From connecting students with alumni to reviewing resumes, UR’s Career Services offers numerous resources related to internships. Every undergraduate student is eligible to receive a fellowship of up to $5,000 for a summer internship or faculty-mentored research project through The Richmond Guarantee, a hallmark UR program.
