Is everyone ready to come out swinging this spring?  We are!  Join area business leaders and fellow MBA alumni, current students and professors at the golf course on Thursday, May 19, to support Junior Achievement of Central Virginia and the MBA Alumni Society.

MBA Alumni Society Annual Golf Tournament

This is our second annual event, and if it’s anything like last year, you’ll want to reserve your space sooner rather than later.  Participants will compete on a four-person team for fantastic prizes in various contests.  Plus, our Texas Hold’em mulligan game was so popular last year that we’ve brought it back again.

The shotgun start scramble is at 1 p.m. but

come early to get in on all of the action!

To top off a full day of networking, fun and golfing, we will wrap up everything with an awards dinner at the clubhouse.

Make sure you don’t miss out and reserve your spot or four member team today: Register online, by mail, or for more information check out our flyer.

If your company is interested in becoming a sponsor for this event, please contact John McNamara for further details about the exciting opportunities available.

Upcoming Events

The University Relations Committee of the Alumni Society is looking towards the warm weather and lazy days of summer, and we're just beginning to plan an alumni event in conjunction with a Richmond Squirrels game.  Be sure to stay tuned for more details.  For the most up-to-date information on what’s going on with the MBA Alumni Society, be sure to check out our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.

Call to Action and Welcome Future Alumni

We need your help!  We have a lot of fun planning events, and we want to hear from you.  The Alumni Society University Relations Committee would love your thoughts on what types of events YOU would be interested in attending.  If you have feedback on previous events, thoughts for future events, or would just like to offer your time and talent to the Society, please  email Melissa Sorbello at melissa.sorbello@capitalone.com.  We look forward to hearing what you have to say.

This is the last newsletter before the current class of MBA students graduate on May 8.  We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of this year’s graduates.  Job well done everyone!  We’d also like to welcome them all to the alumni family and look forward to seeing them and you at some of our upcoming events.
