Kristin Bezio, associate professor of leadership studies, comments on how Elizabethan leadership and politics are depicted in Shakespeare's Richard II, as part of the Slate podcast miniseries "Lend Me Your Ears."

"What’s so interesting about Richard is that his primary problem is that he’s fine as a person, he’s just a terrible ruler," says Bezio.

At Jepson, Bezio teaches Leadership on Stage & Screen, in which students work with community partners to produce one of Shakespeare's plays as part of the Jepson Shakespeare Project. Bezio is the author of "Staging Power in Tudor and Stuart English History Plays: History, Political Thought, and the Redefinition of Sovereignty."
