Griffin Trau, ’17 and G’18, senior Spider football kicker, has been selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program for the 2019-20 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

Trau graduated in 2017 with majors in leadership studies and international studies through the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. He graduated again in December 2018 with a master of liberal arts degree through the School of Professional & Continuing Studies.

Trau was redshirted for the 2014 season. As a result, he was eligible to study full time to complete his master’s degree while playing as a redshirt senior.

He has been awarded his Fulbright position in the Czech Republic with an English teaching assistantship.
