Tom McInerney, president and CEO of Genworth Financial, to be C-Suite Conversation guest Nov. 19

Tom McInerney, president and CEO of Genworth Financial, will participate in a C-Suite Conversation Nov. 19, at 8 a.m., at the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business. The program will be held in Queally Hall, Ukrop Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

C-Suite Conversations are unscripted interviews with regional business decision makers and leaders. The series highlights challenges and opportunities of high-level executives and provides insight about how they balance leadership obligations with the needs of stakeholders.

Richard Coughlan, senior associate dean of the Robins School and director of The Richmond MBA, will interview McInerney.

Genworth, headquartered in Richmond, is a Fortune 500 financial security company. Genworth is committed to helping families become more financially secure, self-reliant and prepared for the future. McInerney assumed his current role in 2013. Previously, he served as COO for ING Groep’s Management Board for Insurance.

McInerney earned an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a B.A. in economics from Colgate University. He is active with the American Council of Life Insurers and the Financial Services Roundtable, having served on each association’s board and CEO committee.
