Robins School of Business’ AACSB Accreditation is Reaffirmed for Business and Accounting

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND ─ The Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond has reaffirmed accreditation of its business and accounting programs by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.

AACSB conducts reviews every five years of schools that previously earned accreditation to ensure they meet the organization’s stringent standards. The accreditation process includes a rigorous external review of a school’s mission, faculty qualifications, curricula, and ability to provide the highest-quality programs.

Included in the peer review team’s final report were commendations on noteworthy best practices and initiatives in which the Robins School engages. “Strategically, Robins provides a robust and distinguished student engagement education for undergraduates. The PRT believes that few schools provide a higher quality student engagement experience for undergraduates, and perhaps for their MBA students as well,” the report said.

The Robins School was first accredited in 1965. Less than 6% of the world’s degree-granting business programs are accredited by the AACSB. 

“The reaffirmation of our AACSB accreditation recognizes our commitment to excellence in business education and our spirit of continuous improvement,” said Mickey Quiñones, dean of the Robins School. “Only a fraction of business schools worldwide are accredited by the AACSB, and we are pleased to be among this elite group.”
