University of Richmond Announces Todd C. Adams as Vice President for Student Development

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND — The University of Richmond will welcome Todd C. Adams as the vice president for student development, effective Sept. 15.

Adams has worked in higher education and in student-focused roles for nearly three decades. He currently serves as vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of Denver, where he oversees 25 departments and multiple residential facilities. He previously served as associate vice president and dean of students at Northwestern University and held numerous leadership roles in student affairs at Duke University. He is an active and longtime member of the professional organization NASPA — the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.

“Todd’s unwavering commitment to supporting student well-being and success, his collaborative spirit, and his rich and varied experience across a variety of areas of student development are impressive,” said University of Richmond President Kevin F. Hallock. “I’m confident that he and our outstanding student development team will continue to provide an incredible student experience at UR and propel us forward.”

Adams will succeed UR’s longtime vice president for student development, Steve Bisese, who is retiring this fall.
