UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND ─ The Fiske Guide to Colleges, a leading college guidebook, has selected the University of Richmond for its 2025 edition. Richmond has been included in the Fiske Guide, which features about 300 schools, since the guidebook first launched in the 1980s.

The latest guide notes that Richmond students enjoy intellectual rigor with small class sizes and close relationships with faculty.

“From first-of-their-kind academic programs to innovative out-of-classroom learning and networking opportunities, Richmond is working hard to push its vision of preprofessional education shaped by commitments to the liberal arts, leadership, and community involvement,” the guide said.

The guide also recognizes UR as a “national leader in the digital humanities,” specifically recognizing the Digital Scholarship Lab, which “allows students to mine huge databases in order to generate new knowledge.”

The guide also notes that UR:

  • is a force for progressive liberal arts and sciences;
  • boasts a top undergraduate business school;
  • continues to expand its international emphasis;
  • is a pioneer in leadership studies;
  • and has 17 Division I athletic teams.
