UR Ranked #2 for Most Beautiful Campus, #3 for Best Run College and Campus Food
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND ─ The Princeton Review has recognized the University of Richmond in its 2025 edition of The Best 390 Colleges guide, out today. The guide also includes specific rankings in categories that span academics, amenities, school services, campus culture, extracurriculars, and more.
UR was ranked #1 for Best Student Support and Counseling Services, up from #16 last year. The Princeton Review selects colleges for the guidebook based on academic offerings. The ranking lists are based entirely on student surveys.
“Student well-being is a top priority at the University of Richmond, and our counseling and psychological services are an important component of supporting student mental health needs,” said Kristen Day, director of Counseling & Psychological Services. “Our dedicated team provides comprehensive clinical services and works closely with colleagues and offices across campus to support student success and well-being.”
“This top ranking in The Princeton Review reflects that our students are receiving the support they need, which is our goal every day,” Day said.
The University of Richmond snagged three additional top 5 rankings:
#2 Most Beautiful Campus
#3 Best-Run Colleges
#3 Best Campus Food
UR was also included in the top 25 on the following lists:
#8 Best Athletic Facilities
#8 Best Health Services
#12 Best Career Services
#13 Best Classroom Experience
#15 Most Accessible Professors
#22 Best College Dorms
#24 Best Quality of Life
#25 Happiest Students
“The colleges we profile in our book are truly a select group: they constitute about 15% of America’s four-year institutions. We chose them primarily based on our high opinion of their academic offerings,” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review and author of The Best 390 Colleges. “The colleges that make our book’s ranking lists do so entirely as a result of the opinions of their customers — students attending the colleges — who complete our 89-question survey about their school.”
Earlier this year, the University of Richmond was named to The Princeton Review’s list of the Best Value Colleges for 2024 and ranked #6 among private schools on the Best Schools for Internships list. UR was also ranked as a Top 50 Green College.
