June 16, 2025

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND — Krittika Onsanit, director of international student and scholar services in the office of International Education, received a Fulbright International Education Administrators Award.

IEA Awards are two-week funded seminars for U.S. higher education administrators to learn about participating countries’ education systems, exchange best practices, and explore the potential for partnerships with the host country.

With the Fulbright support, Onsanit recently travelled to India, where she joined other international education administrators in campus visits, briefings from faculty and administrative leaders at public and private higher education institutions, and tours of historical and cultural sites.

“Receiving the Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Award was a great honor for me professionally and personally,” said Onsanit.  “Being immersed in India’s complex higher education and cultural systems with other international education professionals was a unique experience that I could not have accessed on my own. I hope to use this knowledge to further support our Indian community at Richmond.”

Onsanit has worked at the University of Richmond since 2000. As the director of international student and scholar services, she oversees orientation, advising, services, and support for international students and scholars on campus.
