Heroes

Scott Allison is a leading expert on heroes. He has authored numerous books, including Heroes and Heroic Leadership. He is a professor of psychology at the University of Richmond where he has published extensively on heroism and leadership.

"Doctors and nurses are our greatest heroes right now, and maybe they always have been," Allison said about the healthcare workers on the frontlines helping those suffering from COVID-19. "So many selfless heroes are putting themselves in harm's way and paying the ultimate price in ending up facing their own health struggles. The rest of us can pay tribute to these brave people by staying at home. Heroes make sacrifices for others. They do not sacrifice others."
