Crystal Hoyt

Crystal Hoyt, professor of leadership studies and psychology, studies the intersection of human belief systems and social justice. She explores the role of beliefs, such as mindsets, self-efficacy, stereotypes, and political ideologies. She frequently provides commentary on the stereotypes of women and minorities in leadership positions.

Hoyt currently researches how candidates' messaging regarding social class and social mobility on the campaign trail impacts prejudice against the lower class.
