Faculty members in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies earned service awards for 5, 10, 15 and 35 years of service during the School’s annual awards ceremony during the Spring 2013 Faculty Meeting on Friday, January 11, 2013. Faculty members were also recognized for promotions earned during the past year.
Dr. David Kitchen, associate dean and associate professor of continuing studies in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, has been awarded a grant with Dr. Todd Lookingbill, assistant professor of geography and the environment in the School of Arts and Sciences, to develop and teach a new Sophomore Scholars in Residence program.
Dr. Erik Nielson, assistant professor of liberal arts in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, has published an article in the Winter 2012 edition of MELUS, the journal of the Society for the Study of Multi-Ethnic Literature in the United States.
The University of Richmond Office of Alumni and Career Services and School of Professional and Continuing Studies have collaborated to hire a part-time career advisor for SPCS students in academic programs.
